In Short

We are currently living in the End Times, or “last days.”

“Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: ‘Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you…this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: ‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people.””
Acts 2:14-21, on the day of Pentecost

“In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.”
Hebrews 1:1-2

“I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.”

The Last Day will come on a day that only God knows, so he encourages us to be ready.

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father…Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.”
Matthew 24:36,42

“Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth.”
Luke 21:34-35

“The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray.”
1 Peter 4:7

Acts 1:11

“Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.”
Daniel 12:2

“For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.”
1 Corinthians 15:22

“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.”
Matthew 25:31-32
